Which option do you prefer?
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
Please tell us why?
The risk to public will remain low even once Te Awa Lakes is complete - there is nowhere for the public to walk to on that stretch of road. And the development is some distance from the road. Reducing the speed will reduce the flow of traffic causing unnecessary congestion at the roundabouts on each end of the stretch of road - raising the risk of accidents at the Te Rapa/Horotiu interchanges.
Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change?
No.
How do you travel through the area?
Drive
What do you use Te Rapa Road north for?
Travelling north bound/south bound, Travelling to/from work
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
No, these are my own personal views
