Name Kelvin O'Connell
Date 26 February 2026
Which option do you prefer?
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
Please tell us why?
If this was a 60km Ph stretch the problem will only be shifted to the roundabouts and massive conjestion, has anyone actually looked at the traffic volumes in this area at peak times ?, as it is now the traffic is backed up in in both directions, install an overbridge or underpass, look at the big picture rather than a band aid approach
Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change?
Forget 60km per hr, that is only going to make things worse.
How do you travel through the area?
Drive
What do you use Te Rapa Road north for?
Travelling north bound/south bound, Travelling to/from work
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
No, these are my own personal views
