Which option do you prefer?
Option 1: Reduce the speed limit from 80km/h to 60km/h
Please tell us why?
I drive that road at least twice a day after moving from Hamilton to Ngaruawahia in November. I have always found that 80kmh is too fast regardless of pedestrians being a factor - the bends are too tight to maintain the speed safely. With the introduction of the pedestrian crossing, I think 60kmh is absolutely essential.
Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change?
The plantings in that area/stretch can occasionally block a bit of sight/be a bit unruly.
I wonder if it should go to 60kmh before the temple as you head north, the temple is very busy on the days it is active and congests the area heavily.
How do you travel through the area?
Drive
What do you use Te Rapa Road north for?
It's a local road close to my house, Travelling north bound/south bound, Travelling to/from work
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
No, these are my own personal views
