Which option do you prefer?
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
Please tell us why?
WHY should there be a pedestrian crossing to nowhere on an arterial road.
It sounds like a dumb idea!
Even if you drop the speed limit to 60, People will probably not stop for a pedestrian crossing unless you put lights on it.
Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change?
Other arterial 80km/h roads have tunnels or overbridges. Those are the safest optoins.
The sloths that walk around that area will take a long time to cross 4 lanes. It may be best to split them into 2 crossing, with lights to ensure the racers from either side actually stop, Like the crossings on Fanshaw street in Auckland.
How do you travel through the area?
Drive
What do you use Te Rapa Road north for?
Ocasionally use that road to/from Te-Rapa in peak times. It's quicker than Wairere drive to get to the East of the river.
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
No, these are my own personal views
