That close to the roundabout is a slower functional speed zone anyway for sensible drivers, making it official should have low impact.

Consider changing the roundabout to single lane and/or moving the start of the 60 zone to the southern roundabout approach as well. This might reduce the driver distraction approaching the crossing.
