| Which option do you prefer? |
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
|
| Please tell us why? |
This is a 4-lane major arterial route similar to Wairere Drive, it should remain at 80kmh.
Given the importance of the route and extensive heavy vehicle traffic, an underpass crossing should be considered instead. A wide multi lane road like this implies a higher speed limit leading to inadvertent ignoring of the new speed limit and frustrated motorists when they receive a fine they consider unjustified. |
| Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change? |
Underpass instead of signalised crossing. A signalised crossing is short sighted and will result in increased congestion as the area grows.
|
| How do you travel through the area? |
Drive, Walk
|
| What do you use Te Rapa Road north for? |
It's a local road close to my house, Travelling north bound/south bound, Travelling to/from work
|
| Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation? |
