Which option do you prefer?
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
Please tell us why?
This is a major arterial route for access in and out of Hamilton North. There's too many of our city's roads where the speed limit is being reduced due to a lack of forward thinking by council. It was a crazy decision to install a pedestrian crossing on this stretch of road, and I can't believe it's been signed off and apparently non-negotiable. If there's a need for pedestrians to cross this road it should be via an underpass or over-bridge.
Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change?
Not to support the speed reduction. An underpass or over-bridge for pedestrians / cyclists so the speed reduction can be avoided.
How do you travel through the area?
Drive
What do you use Te Rapa Road north for?
Travelling north bound/south bound, Travelling to/from work, To access the Te Rapa area and avoid traffic through town.
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
No, these are my own personal views
