Which option do you prefer?
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
Please tell us why?
Retain the current speed, and push the crossing further along past the roundabout with a designated walkway around to the proposed bus stop as there is a significant amount more of cars and trucks vs vehicles pedestrians heading north. It also gives motorist a better sight of vision to see further ahead after coming through the SH1C / Horotiu roundabouts to slow down vs right by the roundabout.
Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change?
The pathway leading down to the river ride should definitely have a barrier to protect the cyclists and walkers - for the safety especially of the younger children still needing direction from parents whilst on bikes.
I also think the roundabout edges should be lowered, for the cars that are driving alongside trucks - when the truck are too large to fit around the tight bend and go over their lines. That, or widen the outer curb areas of the roundabout to accomodate
How do you travel through the area?
Drive
What do you use Te Rapa Road north for?
Travelling north bound/south bound, Travelling to/from work
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
