Retain the current speed, and push the crossing further along past the roundabout with a designated walkway around to the proposed bus stop as there is a significant amount more of cars and trucks vs vehicles pedestrians heading north. It also gives motorist a better sight of vision to see further ahead after coming through the SH1C / Horotiu roundabouts to slow down vs right by the roundabout.

The pathway leading down to the river ride should definitely have a barrier to protect the cyclists and walkers - for the safety especially of the younger children still needing direction from parents whilst on bikes.
I also think the roundabout edges should be lowered, for the cars that are driving alongside trucks - when the truck are too large to fit around the tight bend and go over their lines. That, or widen the outer curb areas of the roundabout to accomodate |
