Which option do you prefer?
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
Please tell us why?
It’s a main route for many to work and town. If it’s getting lights why should the speed be reduced? As a side note I understand that the crossing is “not up for discussion” but it really should be. Why would you make a crossing part of resource consent instead of making the developers have bus stops inside the subdivision? Do you think that adding congestion to a main feeder road right next to double round about on an overpass is a good idea? If it causes queuing though the overpass round about a do you think people will be happy?
Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change?
No, if you put in speed bumps I’ll be very upset. Why are we crossing a busy road instead of making the busses use the available round about to avoid exposing pedestrians to a busy road? The main physical change needed is a change in the resource consent planning committee.
How do you travel through the area?
Drive
What do you use Te Rapa Road north for?
It's a local road close to my house, Travelling north bound/south bound, Travelling to/from work
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
No, these are my own personal views
