Which option do you prefer?
Option 1: Reduce the speed limit from 80km/h to 60km/h
Please tell us why?
people should be able to use the road safely to get to and from their homes. they should also be able to cross the road more safely than 80km/h allows.
Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change?
I personally think an underpass would be good instead of a signalised crossing, especially by our main roads like what we have along wairere drive at those roundabouts with hukanui road and gordonton road and the intersection with river road etc. I think crossings so close to roundabouts are dangerous and underpasses are more easily used by pedestrians and cyclists. i'd bike here more if it was safer and if i had friends and family in te awa lakes i'd want them to be safe getting to and from home.
How do you travel through the area?
Drive, just want to say i'd bike if it was safe and there were underpasses. if i live in te awa lakes i'd like to be able to bike to town/shops.
What do you use Te Rapa Road north for?
It's a local road close to my house, Travelling north bound/south bound
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
No, these are my own personal views
