Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit

Despite the development the vast majority of residents will be required to use private vehicles given the distance to CBD and other areas. Cycling is not well provided for along te rapa road until much further south.
Walking is not feasible into town so the only reason to reduce the speed is to reduce development costs. Not appropriate.

Drive, Bike/Scooter, Walk
What do you use Te Rapa Road north for?
Travelling north bound/south bound, Travelling to/from work, For recreation i.e. cycling/bike track
