Which option do you prefer?
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
Please tell us why?
I drive that stretch of road to get to work every day and coupled with traffic lights along Te Rapa Ave and a single lane road leading to the BP roundabout, it takes as long to leave Hamilton as it does to drive the stretch of highway to my workplace. Punish the drivers that do 40kms in the 80 zone before you slow anyone down further.
Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change?
Make the pedestrian crossing an overpass, the visibility on that stretch of road is hazardous to a zebra crossing regardless of speed, and you can maintain 80kms.
How do you travel through the area?
Drive
What do you use Te Rapa Road north for?
Travelling to/from work
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
No, these are my own personal views
