Submission details

Submission ID 8777
Name Trish Thorne
Date 17 March 2026
Which option do you prefer?
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
Please tell us why?
We already have so many speed restriction areas through the city, it is hard to know what is a standard/regular speed acceptable for vehicular traffic. Such changes simply mean people unaware of changes or don't bother to comply. The length of the change is also relatively short, again causing confusion.
Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change?
No change required. As outlined by Council, the developer is required to install appropriate equipment related to the required crossing.
How do you travel through the area?
Drive, Walk
What do you use Te Rapa Road north for?
It's a local road close to my house, Travelling north bound/south bound
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
No, these are my own personal views
