| Which option do you prefer? |
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
|
| Please tell us why? |
As it stands, there isn't enough foot traffic in the area to justify spending $35,000 on changing the speed limit, and I don't think there will be enough after the crossing is implemented
I don't think even if changed it would be widely obeyed by the public |
| Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change? |
No, it should just be left as is, I don't think I've ever even seen anyone cross the road there, and I don't see why anyone would need to
I'm not sure if it's possible but for the money looking to be spent if something HAS to go there for pedestrians is it possible to build tunnels under the road, it'd be safer and wouldn't effect traffic, it's been done in the Nawton/Frankton area. I also think it's absurd that it cost $30,000 to put up signs and paint lines on a 460m stretch of road, I we should be shown a break down of why it's cost that much. |
| How do you travel through the area? |
Drive
|
| What do you use Te Rapa Road north for? |
It's a local road close to my house, Travelling north bound/south bound, Travelling to/from work
|
| Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation? |
No, these are my own personal views
