This stretch of road is where most traffic races through trying to pass any trucks or slower vehicles before Te Rapa road.

This stretch of road is where most traffic races through trying to pass any trucks or slower vehicles before Te Rapa road. To stop this it would make more sense to extend the Horotiu 60 k area right to the proposed change and also reduce the southbound off ramp change the limit to 60 so that the traffic is slowed to a safe speed before getting to this stretch. This would also increase safety at the roundabout, which has tall vegetation that restricts visibility when entering from the north and is a hazard.
