Submission details

Submission ID 9184
Name Will Mitchell
Date 23 March 2026
Which option do you prefer?
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
Please tell us why?
Lowering speed only works for those people who want to obey the law. I know you will add a speed hump to enforce this, but that negatively affects people like me who follow the rules and still have car damage from all of these extra humps.
Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change?
Pedestrian bridge. Stop with the stupid crossings, which will no doubt have a raised hump for added safety. We can have our cake and eat it too. Just pick the correct option.
How do you travel through the area?
Drive
What do you use Te Rapa Road north for?
It's a local road close to my house, Travelling to/from work
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
No, these are my own personal views
