Which option do you prefer?
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
Please tell us why?
The speed is not the issue here. The visibility from the giveaways on the roundabouts are the problem. The gardening impairs visibility, cars have to stick halfway into the roundabouts to see what’s coming. Bush’s need to be trimmed or smaller somehow? None at all would allow for more visibility. Therefore by better and safer driving. This goes for more than 1 roundabout situation in the Waikato region.
Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change?
As stated above the visibility is impaired by the choice of gardening. The more we can see the safer we can drive. PUT LESS GARDENS IN THE WAY OF ROUNDABOUTS. Traffic flows better when you can predict the roundabout, seeing back log traffic lessen also.
How do you travel through the area?
Drive
What do you use Te Rapa Road north for?
Travelling to/from work
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
