Which option do you prefer?
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
Please tell us why?
Keeping the 80 km/h limit avoids the higher costs associated with installing specific, complex traffic safety equipment required. Despite the housing area, the road's current design, a dual-lane road in a semi-rural setting, is appropriate for 80 km/h. It may seem like a small change, but these small changes cumulatively affect the overall efficiency of Ngaruawahia commuters.
Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change?
Yes you would need to make it at least 2 lanes each way to maintain and increase efficiency.
How do you travel through the area?
Drive
What do you use Te Rapa Road north for?
Travelling north bound/south bound, Travelling to/from work, For recreation i.e. cycling/bike track, Shopping!
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
