Which option do you prefer?
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
Please tell us why?
i don't think a lower cost to the developer is a reason for a speed limit to be changed. the speed is fine as it is, of course there is seldom people using this area to walk and the footpaths are far from the driving lanes of this section. having a crossing on the city side/southern most side of the roundabout would seem like a more practical idea as vehicles can come to a stop and be able to see pedestrians waiting to cross and drivers are able to see the lights or such more easily, whereas having the crossing after it seems a bit strange as the speed coming into the roundabout (travelling north) is set at 80 and the inside lane of the roundabout is blind to the proposed 60 speed section by adding a crossing wouldn't that make it more dangerous for pedestrians using the proposed crossing no matter the speed limit?
Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change?
if you're going to change the speed limit in this section, i believe a reduced speed leading into the roundabouts would also be needed.
How do you travel through the area?
Drive, Bike/Scooter
What do you use Te Rapa Road north for?
Travelling north bound/south bound, Travelling to/from work
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
