80k is to fast to slow in time for the crossing. Would also help to slow the traffic heading north from before the round about? Cars coming up the off ramp need to be slowed down. It may help if the plantings ar trimmed so cars don't race off in fright.

A mid way zigzag safe area for crossing like Dinsdale crossing on whahawhata. Even with out the lights
