| Which option do you prefer? |
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
|
| Please tell us why? |
Where the crossing is to be located vehicles are unlikely to be travelling at 80 km/h due to the proximity of the roundabout. With very few people using the bus would it not be sensible to wait until there was a reasonable number of people using the crossing before changing the speed limit. Looks like another revenue gathering opportunity for the Police when no one is around unless variable speed limits are applied. A better solution would be 60 km/h speed limit from say 6.30 am till 6 pm and 80 km/h at all other times.
