| Which option do you prefer? |
Option 2: Retain the current 80km/h speed limit, do not change speed limit
|
| Please tell us why? |
This is a major throughway from the expressway in and out of Hamilton and with proposed 2500 additional homes being built will have to deal with even more traffic and reducing the speed will bottle neck the flow of traffic and cause more accidents than it prevents.
|
| Do you think any other physical changes are required to support the proposed speed limit change? |
A pedestrian bridge needs to be built over Te Rapa Rd, which will ensure steady traffic flow, and NO pedestrian injuries. If the developers can afford to create such a huge developement they can afford to build a pedestrian over bridge.
The bus stops should be moved to the side roads of Hutchinson and Bern Road to also help with the flow of traffic. |
| How do you travel through the area? |
Drive
|
| What do you use Te Rapa Road north for? |
It's a local road close to my house, Travelling north bound/south bound, Travelling to/from work
|
| Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation? |
No, these are my own personal views
