Do you support Council’s proposal to make minor amendments to the Trading in Public Places Bylaw?
I support option 1: continue the bylaw with proposed amendments
Please tell us the reasons for your response.
I agree with the amendment. I think it becomes prohibitive for businesses to survive if they are penalized by an extra insurance fee for dining outside.
It also makes it viable for market stalls to survive if they sell food that is edible onsite. I wonder about the need for more rubbish bins to be provided, eg at the Claudelands barn vintage event, where food is sold & eaten onsite?
I only saw one there outside on the entrance to the barn. I think that rubbish may become more of an issue when more vendors are able to sell food to outdoor diners when tables are provided to eat at.
Do you support Council’s proposal to make minor amendments to the Trading in Public Places Policy?
I support option 1: continue the policy with proposed amendments
Please tell us the reasons for your response.
I think it’s a great idea to support small businesses in any ways the council is able to, to help them survive in these tough economic times
