Regulations are still in place and enforceable by council. Some concern that traders may be unaware of such regulations without a formal process or self regulation may not happen because of commercial interest.

Buskers appropriate use of speakers or sound amplifying equipment is subjective and their use is unnecessary. There is potential for unforseen consequences with use of such equipment not covered by permits for events.
