| 1. Do you have any feedback on the IAWAI Water Services Strategy? |
It sounds good at a high level, but doesn't address the current inequities for some suburbs of Hamilton who cannot develop their property due to waste water infrastructure. This needs to be addressed much more quickly than is indicated.
|
| 2a. Do you support a growth pays for growth approach for new residential and commercial developments, including the use of growth charges to help fund growth-related infrastructure and services? |
Partially support
|
| Please provide comment. |
As long as it actually results in the ability to develop. At the moment, in some suburbs, there is no point in paying because it still won't result in improvements in waste water capacity to allow for development.
|
| 2b. In the current residential growth charges proposal secondary minor dwellings (i.e. granny flats) may be treated as ½ HUE. Do you support treating secondary minor dwellings as ½ HUE? If you have an alternative proposal, please explain. |
Yes,

| 3. How would you prefer IAWAI engage you? |
Website, Social media, Focus groups, Antenno app
|
| 4. Do you support IAWAI’s Significance and Engagement Policy? |
Yes
|
| 5. Do you have any feedback on the Significance and Engagement Policy? |
Areas like Riverlea in Hillcrest that are currently being hampered by an unfair lack of wastewater infrastructure need much more engagement. The current wastewater issues in that suburb are completely unacceptable. I chair the Riverlea Theatre Trust and I have an expectation that you will front up to the community and explicitly set out the timeframes that this will be sorted out within. The way the City Council have managed this is extremely poor.

| 6. Do you support IAWAI'S Waiver Policy? |
Partially support
|
| 7. Do you have any feedback on the the Waiver Policy? |
Not sure. Would need more advice about this.
|
| Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation? |
No, these are my own personal views
