1. Do you have any feedback on the IAWAI Water Services Strategy?
I generally support the use of water meters to create a fair system for paying for water.
Within the project project listed, there seems to be a lot upgrades in rural regions, I would only be concerned if these projects are being paid for by the Urban authority. I understand one of the major factors of implementation is growth, so it would good to have seen the projected growth across the region mapped out in the summary document.
My only major concern with the water authority is ensuring the still work with the local council around timing of projects and aligning work to best suit the community and not the bottom dollar of IAWAI.
2a. Do you support a growth pays for growth approach for new residential and commercial developments, including the use of growth charges to help fund growth-related infrastructure and services?
Yes
Please provide comment.
Yes, new areas need to pay for infrastructure to provide them with all services
2b. In the current residential growth charges proposal secondary minor dwellings (i.e. granny flats) may be treated as ½ HUE. Do you support treating secondary minor dwellings as ½ HUE? If you have an alternative proposal, please explain.
Yes,
Please explain.
This seems like the simplest way to manage this. Would this change if water meters were put on a property?
3. How would you prefer IAWAI engage you?
Social media, Antenno app
4. Do you support IAWAI’s Significance and Engagement Policy?
Yes
5. Do you have any feedback on the Significance and Engagement Policy?
I support the policy. However I don't feel like I have seem a lot of it around
6. Do you support IAWAI'S Waiver Policy?
Partially support
7. Do you have any feedback on the the Waiver Policy?
My primary concern with the policy is waiving the fee for developing in WDC. Surely this means that more development may take place in WDC, however the majority of these people will come to work, go to school and do their shopping in Hamilton - so what is expected follow on effect in other infrastructure?
Are you giving feedback on behalf of an organisation?
No, these are my own personal views
