Hamilton Zoo will be closed for the day on Thursday 21 March.
The zoo is the location for a television commercial, which will be filmed on the day, and requires the support of zoo staff in managing animals at the site.
Closing the zoo for the day is considered the most efficient and effective way to meet the needs of the film crew.
Should wet weather occur, the zoo will be open for business, with filming – and the related closure – moving to Friday 22 March.
Christmas Day is the only other day of the year the zoo is not open to the public.
