A section of the river path from Alma St to Bryce St in the central city is temporarily closed while Hamilton City Council engineers investigate potential movement.
River path users heading north will need to detour up Alma St, along Victoria St and rejoin the river path at London St. Those heading south already need to exit the path at London St, due to the existing closure between London St and Bryce St. They will now rejoin the path at Alma St instead of Bryce St.
The river path from Bryce St to London St has been closed for some time while engineers assess a significant slip. Construction work is planned for mid-2020.
