How can I get involved in this meeting?

At the beginning of each Council or committee meeting, up to 30 minutes is available for the public (individuals or groups) to present on a matter that is on the meeting’s agenda. Each individual or group is allowed up to five minutes to speak. 

Speakers are listed on a first come, first served basis, and as many speakers as possible will be heard within the allocated 30 minutes.

Note: Your name, a summary of what you say and anything you distribute at the meeting will be included in the minutes and made available online, as well as livestreamed and included on our YouTube channel.

Regional Infrastructure Technical Specification (RITS) V2 – Approval

In 2024 Council provided approval for consultation of the proposed Regional Infrastructure Technical Specifications (RITs) Version 2, the resolution of the committee at the time was to report back to the Council with a summary of the feedback received by Co Lab during consultation of the RITs and seek approval to adopt the final RITs V2 on behalf of Council.

Barriers to kerbside rubbish and recycling collection

The purpose of the report is to provide the summary of findings on research undertaken to investigate barriers to kerbside rubbish and recycling collection, which was requested by the Infrastructure and Transport Committee in the previous triennium.

Te Rapa Road (north) speed limit review – approval to consult

The purpose of the report is to seek approval to commence public consultation for a speed limit change for the northern section of Te Rapa Road (between Hutchinson Road and SH1C Mangaharakeke Drive) to enable installation of a signalised pedestrian crossing in Te Rapa Road to cater for the Te Awa Lakes development and safe pedestrian access to the bus stops.

Minor Transport Improvements Programme update

The purpose of the report is to provide an update on the progress made on the delivery of the minor transport improvement programme and to report back on review of costs for projects as requested at the 4 September 2025 Infrastructure and Transport Committee.
