How can I get involved in this meeting?

At the beginning of each Council or committee meeting, up to 30 minutes is available for the public (individuals or groups) to present on a matter that is on the meeting’s agenda. Each individual or group is allowed up to five minutes to speak. 

Speakers are listed on a first come, first served basis, and as many speakers as possible will be heard within the allocated 30 minutes.

Note: Your name, a summary of what you say and anything you distribute at the meeting will be included in the minutes and made available online, as well as livestreamed and included on our YouTube channel.

You can also make a written submission on a matter that is on the meeting’s agenda by emailing hcc.governance@hcc.govt.nz

Application for Temporary Extension to Hamilton Alcohol Control Bylaw - Homegrown Festival

The purpose of the report is to seek the Council’s approval of a temporary alcohol ban to support the policing of the Homegrown Festival to be held at Claudelands Oval on 14 March 2026.

Consequential Amendments to the 2024-34 Long-Term Plan, Infrastructure Strategy and Council Policies

The purpose of the report is to seek Council’s approval of the consequential amendments to the 2024-34 Long-Term Plan, 2024-54 Infrastructure Strategy and Council’s policies to reflect the removal of water supply and wastewater from Council’s responsibilities from 1 July 2026 to IAWAI – Flowing Waters.

Financial Contributions Policy

The purpose of the report is to seek approval of the draft Financial Contributions Policy.

Submissions to Central Government

The purpose of the report is to seek Council’s approval of submissions to three key central government consultations that are due later in February.
